Warframe’s Isleweaver Update Delivers New Story, Warframe, and Player Improvements on June 25
Warframe is set to launch its next major update, Isleweaver, on June 25 across all platforms. This free update follows the narrative arc established in the recent Warframe: 1999 questline, and brings a mix of new story content, a fresh Warframe, quality-of-life enhancements, and a new Clan Operation. For those unfamiliar, Warframe is a long-running online action game known for its fast-paced combat, cooperative missions, and evolving sci-fi universe.
The Isleweaver update is notable for introducing the game’s 61st Warframe, Oraxia, and expanding the playable world and lore. The update also continues developer Digital Extremes’ recent efforts to make the game more welcoming for newcomers, a trend that’s been important as Warframe approaches its second decade with a massive, often complex game world.
- New story content: Players who have completed the Warframe: 1999 quest, The Hex, can return to the Kingdom of Duviri. The region sees new threats such as The Murmur and The Indifference, as well as a new area, Scholar’s Landing, with lore fragments to uncover and a new mini-boss fight against Oraxia.
- Operation: Eight Claw: This new Clan Operation tasks players with working alongside Dominus Thrax to reclaim Scholar’s Landing and Duviri’s throne. The event runs through July 16 and brings back past Clan Operation rewards.
- Oraxia, the 61st Warframe: Oraxia specializes in fear-based abilities, including poisoning enemies, summoning spiderling swarms, and more. Players will also get access to two new weapons: the barb cluster Scyotid and the poisonous Spinnerex whip.
- Deluxe Cosmetics and TennoGen: The update introduces the Citrine Aphrodita Deluxe Collection and new community-created TennoGen cosmetics, offering more customization options for Warframes, weapons, and Operators.
- New Player Experience and Quality of Life: Isleweaver brings updates to early-game progression, new rewards for Junctions, and a reworked onboarding tutorial in the Vor’s Prize quest. The Valkyr Warframe also gets a gameplay rework to faster, more aggressive melee combat.
Digital Extremes is continuing to focus on streamlining the onboarding experience for new players, a key area as live service games like Warframe seek to remain accessible to both veterans and newcomers. More details are expected at TennoCon in July, which typically serves as the studio’s platform for major announcements and future plans.
